The dining area is not large – about a dozen tables and is quiet. The kitchen must be small because some afternoons you may see staff cutting veggies at a table in the dining room, which may be off-putting for some. Restrooms are down stairs and the restaurant itself is not wheelchair accessible. They will add/delete spicy-ness as requested. Service is good and they bring you hot tea automatically with fried wanton noodles and a sweet orange-flavored dipping sauce. Served over your choice of fried rice or white rice. The presentation of this dish was extra-special with a rose-carved carrot. ![]() Sesame Chicken is delicious breaded and fried chunks of chicken served in a sweet sesame sauce and perfectly cooked broccoli. You put the mixture over rice of your choice. Kung Pau Chicken is spicy chicken with peanuts in a nicely thick brown sauce. Very tasty!Ĭhicken Phat Thai is strips of chicken served in a tamarind peanut sauce with fresh bean sprouts and ground peanuts on the side. The pancakes are just thick enough to stand up to the sauce and stuffing. You wrap the pork and scallion in the Hosin-buttered pancake and eat it like Moo Shu. Pork with Peking Sauce is strips of pork served with a tasty Peking sauce, long slices of scallion, a small side dish of Hoisin sauce and pancakes. The Barbeque Spare Ribs (2 or 4) are very good, but the meat is “spare” and it is good that these are finger-licking good. This is served with a sweet cherry sauce that enhances the flavor if you use just a little, but these are great just as they are. They do have a half-dozen fried rice main course dishes, but I haven’t tried those.Ĭrab Rangoons (6) are crispy fried wanton squares filled with delicious crab and creamed cheese folded inside. With all but the noodle dishes, you get a choice of a side of white or fried rice the fried rice is just that – there aren’t any additional ingredients, veggies, etc. It makes it hard to decide, but the Phat Thai, Moo Shu, Kung Pau, Sesame/Orange Chicken/Beef, Shredded Pork with Peking Sauce, and Shrimp with Broccoli are consistently great. The menu has no less than 200 different main dishes! Main courses are served with your choice of steamed or fried rice. Main dishes include several varieties of Lo Mein, Chow Mein Undon Noodles, and Chow Ho/Mai Fun. They have about a dozen kinds of soup and a couple dozen appetizers. The menu has low-fat and gluten-free menus. They serve many types of Asian cuisine (C, J, T, V) and they have. It still is, but the place has made a few changes in the last couple of years. Golden Phoenix has been the go-to Chinese restaurant in the Fairport area for years.
